Founded in 1991 in Kunovice, Czech Republic, Evektor began as a manufacturer of light attack airplanes. In 1996, the company acquired the Aerotechnik Company and currently operates as Evektor-Aerotechnik. Evektor-Aerotechnik offers fixed wing aircraft within three categories: advanced ultralights, light sport aircraft, and certified aircraft.
Product families of ultralights include the Eurostar SL and the Eurostar SL+. The Eurostar SL’s airframe is composed of a metal anodized aluminum structure with sealed pop rivets, as well as bonded joints for optimal resilience. Aircraft performance features include: a maximum takeoff weight off 1041 lbs., a long range tank capacity of 80 liters, a maximum speed of 240 km/h, a stall speed of 65 km/h, a climb rate of 7.5 m/s, and a long range tank range of 920 km. The Eurostar SL comes standardized with a 100 horsepower Rotax 912 ULS engine and a composite, ground adjustable, spinning Propuls AES 1800/3/R propeller; a suite of flight instrumentation (with an air speed indicator, an altimeter, a magnetic compass, a vertical speed indicator, and a bank indicator); and engine instruments (including indicators for RPM, cylinder head temperature, electric fuel quantity, oil temperature, and oil pressure). The Eurostar SL+ is an enhanced, upgraded version of the SL with a greater fuel capacity of 120 liters, a longer range of 1300 with an 8 hour endurance, and increased baggage and cockpit space.
Their light sport aircraft category includes: the SportStar MAX and the Harmony LSA. The SportStar was the first special light sport aircraft (S-LSA) to receive FAA approval. Like their ultralights, the SportStar line is twice reinforced with riveting and bonding construction. Standard configuration includes: basic engine and flight instruments, a Rotax 912 ULS with 100 horsepower inclusive slip clutch and Airbox, and a Propuls AES 1700/3/R propeller. The SportStar has a maximum speed of 213 km/h, a cruise of 204 km/h, a climb rate of 5.2 m/s, a ceiling of 4729 m, and a range of 1300 km. The Harmony is a derivative of the SportStar with upgraded and enhanced abilities including a tapered wing & HTU and an elongated fuselage. This aircraft, with a max speed of 270 km/h and a cruise of 212 km/h, slightly exceeds some performance maximums of the Sportstar. Their certified aircraft includes the EV-55 Outback, the VU-100 Cobra, and the SportStar RTC.
