Description : The Bombardier Challenger 600 Is A Business Jet Powered By A Pair Of Lycoming Alf 502-L-2C Fanjets With Special Features Such As The Use Of A Widened Fuselage That Allows A “Walk-About Cabin” And It Is The First Business Jets To Be Designed With A Super-Critical Wing. The Aircraft Is Powered By Two General Electric Cf34-3A1 Engines That Feature A Maximum Thrust Of 8,729 Pounds. And 9,220 Pounds. The Challenger 604 Is Known As The “Best-Selling Model In The Heavy-Iron Category” And The Most Significant Product Upgrade Since The 601-1A. Some Of The Principle Changes Include The Change Of Engine (General Electric Cf34-3B High Bypass Turbofan), Fuel Capacity Increase, Maximum Takeoff Weight Increased To 20,000 Lb., New Landing Hear And Rolling Assembly, Anti-Skid System, New Optional Extended Cabin Interior With 10 Percent More Usable Space, And New Collins Proline 4 Avionics Suite Feature Six Tube Efis With Eicas And Md. The Challenger 604 Received Its Transport Canada Type Approval In September 30, 1995 And The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration In November 2, 1995. Bombardier Continues To Use Their General Design Although They Are Renovating Their Aircrafts By Incorporating Up-To-Date Technology To Enhance Performance And Efficiency. The Bombardier Challenger 605 Provides The Same Wings And Engines As The Past Designs, Although It Is Powered By Two General Electric Cf34-3B Turbofan Engines. The Fuel Tanks Were Relocated, One Aft Bladder Tank And An Enlarged Tailcone Tank Which Helped Distribute The Weight And Improved Its Fuel Economy. The Aircraft Is Able To Travel Over 4,000 Nautical Miles At A Mach .80 Maximum. For Avionics, The Challenger 605 Comes With New Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 Suite That Features Four 10” X 12” Lcd Screens With An Integrated Menu Control. It Has A Restyled Cabin With Led Lighting That Offers Increased Usable Volume And A Work Area For The Twelve Passengers.
