BOC Aviation announced that it placed an order with Boeing for 22 737 aircraft. These 22 737’s will be delivered throughout the span of 2018 to 2021. These 22 737’s consist of 11 Boeing Next Generation 737-800’s and 11 Boeing 777 MAX 8’s.
This order is worth a retail value of $2.27 billion based off of Boeing’s list prices.
Robert Martin, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation, said,
“This order demonstrates our continued confidence in the Next Generation 737 aircraft for its proven high performance, reliability, and asset value.”
Martin also goes on to talk about what BOC Aviation’s customers think of the 737:
“The Next Generation 737 economics are very attractive to our customers. With the 737 MAX, we are investing in new technology aircraft to meet our customers’ long-term fleet planning requirements.”
Dinesh Keskar, Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific and India Sales under the Boeing Commercial Airplanes department, talked about the order:
“This new order, on top of the 2014 order for 80 737s, is proof of BOC Aviation’s leading position in the leasing market, providing its customers with the most reliable and fuel-efficient single-aisle airplanes.”
