On February 23, 2016, Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announced that it will launch a new system testing for the Gulfstream G600 iron bird. In doing so, this shows that the company is continually committed to study and improve the development of the G600 aircraft program.

Known for supporting the aerospace, marine, and ground transportation industries Adams Rite has been manufacturing quality products for over a century. Founded in 1896 the company began manufacture hardware for European style mansions being built in Southern California as the Pacific Brass Co. It was not until the company was purchased by stockholders in 1927 that they began operating as the Rite Hardware Co.The first aircraft specific lock was developed by the Rite Co. in 1936 for the Douglas DC-3. As the demand for aircraft parts increased the company split into two divisions. Adams Rite Products focused on the expanded line of aircraft parts.

In 2012 the company 3M created a separate division for its aerospace business. Known for adhesives, sealants and protective films, 3M believes they can improve planes by providing low-weight compounds that will make planes both lighter and stronger. The company was originally founded in 1902 by five Minnesota businessmen who focused on creating better sandpaper products. The company soon expanded into new emerging markets. In 1925 they introduced masking tape.
